Nrin ninu Idanimọ wa ninu Kristi - Di Awọn Ẹlẹda Itan Rẹ 

Nigba ti a ba de ọdọ Kristi, ohun gbogbo yipada. Igbesi aye kii ṣe nipa itan mi lasan mọ - o di apakan ti Itan Rẹ. Sibẹsibẹ ọpọlọpọ ninu wa n gbe pẹlu ẹdọfu: a mọ awọn otitọ wọnyi ni ori wa, ṣugbọn ibeere gidi ni boya a n rin wọn jade ni otitọ ti igbesi aye ojoojumọ. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọmọlẹ́yìn Jésù, a kò pè wá láti gbà gbọ́ lásán; a pè wá láti gbé gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹlẹ́tàn Rẹ̀ – àwọn ènìyàn tí ìgbé ayé wọn jẹ́rìí sí agbára ìyípadà Rẹ̀.

Pọ́ọ̀lù polongo pé: “Nítorí náà, bí ẹnikẹ́ni bá wà nínú Kristi, òun jẹ́ ìṣẹ̀dá tuntun; ohun àtijọ́ ti lọ, tuntun ti dé!” ( 2 Kọ́ríńtì 5:17 ). Eyi kii ṣe imọran imọ-jinlẹ lasan - o jẹ otitọ ti ẹni ti a jẹ. A ko ṣe alaye nipa ohun ti o ti kọja wa, awọn ikuna wa, tabi paapaa nipasẹ ohun ti awọn miiran le sọ nipa wa. Idanimọ wa ti wa ni bayi ninu Kristi. Johanu flinnu mí dọmọ: “Mì pọ́n owanyi daho he Otọ́ ko do na mí, dọ míwlẹ nido yin yiylọdọ ovi Jiwheyẹwhe tọn lẹ: podọ nuhe míwlẹ wẹ. ( 1 Jòhánù 3:1 ). Pétérù sì fi kún un pé: “Ẹ̀yin jẹ́ ènìyàn àyànfẹ́, ẹgbẹ́ àlùfáà aládé, orílẹ̀-èdè mímọ́, àkànṣe ohun ìní Ọlọ́run…” (1 Pétérù 2:9). Lati loye eyi ni lati mọ pe igbesi aye Rẹ ti di igbesi aye wa bayi.

Jésù fi dá àwọn ọmọ ẹ̀yìn Rẹ̀ lójú pé: “Gbogbo ọlá àṣẹ ní ọ̀run àti lórí ilẹ̀ ayé ni a ti fi fún mi: nítorí náà ẹ lọ kí ẹ sì máa sọ àwọn èèyàn di ọmọ ẹ̀yìn…” (Mátíù 28:18-19). Alase ti nṣàn jade ti ibasepo. A jẹ ajogun pẹlu Kristi (Romu 8:17), ti nru iwuwo ati agbara orukọ Rẹ. Ronu ti ọlọpa ti o gbe ọwọ kan lati da ijabọ naa duro. Awọn ọkọ ayọkẹlẹ ko duro nitori agbara ti ara ti oṣiṣẹ ṣugbọn nitori aṣẹ ti wọn ṣe aṣoju. Lọ́nà kan náà, àṣẹ wa nínú Kristi kò sinmi lé agbára tiwa fúnra wa bí kò ṣe lé ẹni tí ń gbé inú wa.

Ìpè yìí kò gbọ́dọ̀ ṣe pẹ̀lú agbára wa. Jésù ṣèlérí pé: “Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin yóò gba agbára nígbà tí Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ bá bà lé yín, ẹ̀yin yóò sì jẹ́ ẹlẹ́rìí mi…” (Ìṣe 1:8). Paulu ṣapejuwe eyi gẹgẹbi agbara kanna ti o ji Kristi dide kuro ninu okú (Efesu 1:19–20). Agbára àjíǹde yẹn ń ṣiṣẹ́ nínú wa lónìí. Ó ń fún wa lókun, ń pèsè, ó sì ń fún wa nígboyà láti gbé ẹ̀rí wa jáde ní gbogbo ibi ìgbésí ayé – nínú iṣẹ́ wa, àwọn ẹbí wa, àwọn àgbègbè wa, àti àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè wa.

Idanimọ ati aṣẹ wa ninu Kristi ko ni ihamọ si awọn apejọ ọjọ-isimi; won wa fun gbogbo aye. Nigbati idanwo ba de, a ni lati ranti ẹni ti a jẹ (1 Korinti 10:13). Nigbati iberu ba halẹ lati rẹwẹsi, a duro ṣinṣin ninu iṣẹgun Rẹ (Romu 8:37). Bí a ṣe ń wọ ibi iṣẹ́ tàbí àdúgbò wa, a ń ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ikọ̀ Kristi (2 Kọ́ríńtì 5:20). Ìgbésí ayé wa fúnra wa di ẹ̀rí sí oore-ọ̀fẹ́ àti agbára Rẹ̀: “Wọ́n ṣẹ́gun rẹ̀ nípa ẹ̀jẹ̀ Ọ̀dọ́ Àgùntàn náà àti nípa ọ̀rọ̀ ẹ̀rí wọn.” ( Ìfihàn 12:11 ).

Nítorí náà, a gbọ́dọ̀ kọ̀ láti rìn pẹ̀lú orí rẹ̀, tí èjìká sì wúwo, bí ẹni pé a ṣẹ́gun. Ọmọkùnrin àti ọmọbìnrin Ọba ni wá. “Ẹ̀yin ọmọ ọ̀wọ́n, láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run ni ẹ ti wá, ẹ sì ti ṣẹ́gun wọn, nítorí ẹni tí ń bẹ nínú yín tóbi ju ẹni tí ń bẹ nínú ayé lọ.” ( 1 Jòhánù 4:4 ). A le sọ igbesi aye sinu awọn ipo ainireti (Owe 18:21), gbadura pẹlu igboiya ninu orukọ Jesu (Johannu 14:13–14), ki a si tẹ siwaju si awọn aye ni mimọ pe Kristi n lọ siwaju wa (Deuteronomi 31:8).

Itan wa ko tan, nitori itan Re tun n tan nipase wa. Nigba ti a ba rin ninu idanimọ wa otitọ, ti a wọ ni agbara ati aṣẹ Rẹ, aiye bẹrẹ lati ri Jesu. “Olódodo ni ẹni tí ó pè yín, yóò sì ṣe é.” ( 1 Tẹsalóníkà 5:24 ). Jẹ ki a dide, nitorina - kii ṣe ni iberu ṣugbọn ninu igbagbọ, kii ṣe ninu ailera ṣugbọn ninu agbara Rẹ, kii ṣe ni rudurudu ṣugbọn ni gbangba ti ipe wa. Je k‘a rin b‘itan Re.

Runnymede Christian Fellowship is a church based in Egham but serving a much larger geographical area. Those who call us home come from EghamVirginia Water, Staines, Englefield Green, Egham Hythe, Pooley Green, Maidenhead, Heathrow, Slough, Ashford, Thorpe, Windsor, Woking and beyond.

Our church is a community of believers who regularly meet to share life and show God's love. We do this by encouraging and serving each other and the community. We believe in the power of prayer and are always happy to pray for you.

Our Sunday service is available to stream online at 11:00 a.m. You can join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube or X (Twitter).

The Sunday Service is now held at Strodes College, Strodes College Lane in Egham open to all, so if you would like to join us, please feel free to do so. If you have any questions, please call us on 01784 637010.

We run a physical Sunday School most weeks. If you would like your children to receive a weekly Sunday School teaching pack that you can do from home, please email us at admin@e-runnymede.co.uk so that we can send you the materials.

Our Sunday service starts at 11:00 a.m. and typically lasts about 90 minutes.

We start each service with lively worship with songs from around the world, followed by inspired Bible-based teaching. All our sermons are recorded and are available as a podcast after the service.

We have a monthly cycle of Sunday services, with our Communion Service being on the first Sunday of each month and an All-Age All-Nation Service on the second Sunday of each month. Our other Sunday services include Spirit-focused and teaching services.

We have consciously adopted being a blended church, that is, both for those online and face-to-face. You are welcome to join us on Livestream or via Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube, or X (Twitter), or you can catch up and watch the recordings later.
 

Joining us in person

Visiting a new and unfamiliar church for the first time can be intimidating, but we want to ensure you feel welcome and enjoy your time with us. A friendly face will be waiting to meet you at the entrance and welcome you. 

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for coffee and prayer. Our Sunday Service starts at 11:00 a.m. and typically runs for about 90 minutes, normally followed by tea and coffee.
 

Driving and Car Parking

Our Sunday Morning Service is now held at Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham, TW20 9DR, which has plenty of Parking. Click on the link for directions to RCF.

We have plenty of parking spaces right outside the building. Spaces are reserved near the entrance for anyone with mobility problems (for those with a blue badge). Please let us know if you need to use one of these spaces, have any special needs, or require any assistance.

The car parking area is a public area, so please ensure that your children are under your control and that, for their safety, they do not run around in the car park.
 

Visiting with children?

Everyone is welcome at RCF. We encourage everyone, young and old, to join the service. We have Sunday School, which starts after worship and runs during the sermon for 30 to 40 minutes for children aged 4 to 12. On the second Sunday of each month, we have a shorter All-Aged All Nations Service, where the children stay for the worship and the sermon.
 

After Church

We chat over coffee and biscuits after church on the first, third and fourth Sundays. If you want to get more acquainted, why not join us for a Sunday lunch with some of our members? The meal is on us! Please contact us and let us know. We would love to share a meal and get to know you better!
